The Spanish Academy was founded in 2000. SA was born from pure inspiration as Founder and Chief Administrator, Kimberly Houde, sought to offer her own daughter a unique foreign language preschool education. Ms. Houde decided to share the rich environment with children throughout the Snoqualmie Valley.
SA's humble beginnings started with tours of the North Bend campus. In the first week of opening the doors for tours, mothers requested that the Spanish Academy offer Spanish courses for kids in the local public elementary schools. Once the before/after school program began, and SA began making a name for itself, families became more interested in the preschool on the farm.
With just three students we launched the bilingual Spanish/English curriculum in the fall of 2001. After years of dedication to constantly improving the academic curriculum, perfecting 2nd language acquisition teaching strategies, and consistently listening to client feedback in making changes to enhance the school, SA has grown immensely. Now we offer a 100% Spanish immersion curriculum. Families can make inquiries and pre-register far in advance to secure one of the limited seats available for the upcoming school year.
