NEW Ecology Curriculum Starting Fall, 2009
The Spanish Academy offers a new curriculum with a major focus on nature and the impact we have on our immediate environment. Students are learning about the interconnectedness of nature, animals and the daily choices we make and how those choices affect our surroundings. Students are implementing 3R's! Reduce, recycle and reuse! They are responsible about recycling and reusing. In the classroom students are using recycled materials for art projects and lessons. SA kids are becoming conscientious about keeping our planet healthy and learn many, many ways they can make a positive impact in areas of reuse, recycle and reduce. Nature will come alive in the minds of students as we explore it's amazing richness. Areas of study in 2009: - 3R's - Reduce, Recycle, Reuse
